Dr. Bassam Z. Shakhashiri, Professor of Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is renowned nationwide for his chemical demonstration shows, and in particular for his annual presentation, Once Upon a Christmas Cheery, In the Lab of Shakhashiri . For over 35 years, this science-oriented entertainment has played to packed houses at such varied locations as the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the National Academy of Sciences and the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, and Boston's Museum of Science, and it has been televised by stations across the country. The 38th Annual Presentation from 2007 is now available on DVD. Also available on are the shows from 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003 and 2002 (DVD and VHS), and 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997, and 1996, the 25th Anniversary show from 1994, and the 1993 presentation (all on VHS only).
